If it were me, I would. No downtime on the truck except for the swap itself. No waiting on the trans to be done. Plus, you can probably do it for not much more than the money for the rear shaft and tailhousing swap. I have a nice history of getting low mile parts for cheap...maybe you'll ahve the same luck with that trans. Check out 0RangerEdge2's 4x4 conversion thread.
