trac lok clutch

ok now that my clutches ave gone completely i am looking for the best clutches at a reasonable price. i found some on ebay that are carbon fiber ?!?!
they say they are ford from a cobra or something.
any one have experience with them?

also its been a wile since i did it, do i have to take the ring gear off to do the clutches? i can take the cross pin out with the gear still on.

They will act more like a locker than a LS. Those are designed for racing use, so they are going to be tighter than what yours was originally.

What are you using your truck for? If you are going for better off-road capabilities, then get a locker. If you just on the street, then I would probably just get the regular clutch packs

cool thats what i wanted to herre i have a 2wd and the regular ones are too soft / slippery. do you have to run friction modifier? or will synthetic oil be good enough?

Some synth oil will have additives already in it. Royal Purples is a good example. But if you are just using the regular gear oil, you HAVE to put friction modifier in it. Unless you want to wear them out in 1000mi.

They may be tighter, but they will also last longer than the stock ones.

for gear oil just run some lucas becasue they have friction modifiers already in them
