'93 Explorer 8.8 rebuild

When prepping an axle what should I inspect and replace before I mount it to my Ranger? I already know about the spring and shock perch relocation. I'm wondering what I need to inspect and replace. The Explorer axle is more then 10yrs old. Things wear out.

definetely the fluid.

Is it a L/S? if so then prolly replace the L/S plates or whatever they are called. New bearing and oil seals.

Throw the TracLok in the trash where it belongs and get a good L/S or locker before you put it in the Ranger. Just make sure all the bearings are ok as well.

Look for any chipping, pitting, or excessive wear. If everything looks OK, slap them back in there.

When I start working on the axle I'll post pictures and ask for 2nd opinions on wear and tear of the components if I don't have a knowledgeable person helping me.
