unkown problem- loss of power
i was driving my 2001 ford ranger ex cab 4x4 5speed 3.0 and while i was driving the exhaust had a weird tone to it, and the truck lost all power, at first i could drop a gear to get it to speed up, but after about 2 minutes the only way to get it to even move was to put it in first gear and pop the clutch in and out, truck was also idleing inbetween 1500-2000
also when giving it throttle it lagged on the rpms going up
any help would be greatly appreciated with anyone who has had this problem, my guess would be it is clutch related or throwout bearing

About 153,000, fuel filters what I thought but would that create the problem of really not being able to move, I was thinking it would have a hard time starting and idle rough from fuel filter problems
No to the codes not throwing anything like I hoped it would to help diagnose the problem

easiest way to unclog it is to hit them all a few good times with a hammer right :)
I also forgot to mention it smelled almost as if something was burning or overheating not a smell of oil or coolant so i was unsure of what it was

UPDATE:
i started the truck this morning and there is gasoline coming out of the exhaust pipe
UPDATE: Problem fixed, not really solved, added gas to the truck, runs just like it used to, it still had a 1/4 tank in it but i figured why not add more runs fine, no idea what the problem was

Haha except I could only do about 5mph, thought about holding a lighter up to the pipe but that could have ended bad, my only guess Is there was something in the gas mixture that for some reason the engine could not combust so it was just pumping it out of the system, no idea if that's right though
