CV Axle Shaft & Seal

CV Axle Shaft & Seal
I have a 2000 Ranger SuperCab 4x4 with the 4.0. I was hearing a wobble from the passenger side front axle and saw the CV axle worn and the axle seal where the CV axle goes into the trans axle leaking. I replaced both and filled the trans axle with 80w-90 gear oil. After driving it for a few days, I started to hear the wobble again and the leak is still there. The seal is on well and the leak is coming from the inner rubber where the CV axle meets the trans axle. I wondering what could be the problem and how to fix it. Thanks.

It looks like the new CV axle is slightly smaller then the original one where the spindle in the axle and the female end of CV axle meet so I put the old one back on to see if that solved the leak and will tell you how it works out. I just had the ball joints put on. And so the spindle that goes into the pumpkin is not held in by any clips or anything else? Also, is there a oil seal in the pumpkin where the spindle goes into it?
