Will a trns interchange from a 3.0 to a 2.3? Trucks are 98 & 99.

i would say no....

 

no they will not, the 2.3 ad 3.0 have a different bellhousing bolt pattern so the trannys will not bolt to the engine. The 2.3, 3.0, and 4.0 all have a different bellhousing pattern and non of them have removable bellhousings.
