Axle Nuts

I have to replace my front axle bearing hubs on my 2008 4x4. The manual says "remove and disguard the halfshaft nut and washer" ie get a new one.
Is this required? One u-tube video that I watched said it was fine to use the original nut with a small amount of blue locktite. My dealer wants $14 for each nut. Love to hear your experience.

I say remove and discard as well. They have been torqued to spec, therefore the threads may be stretched.
14$ is not that bad of a price
