yea, if you dont know the first thing about doing gears, i would say take it to a shop, or have a friend who knows whats going on help you out.. or watch him do it

thats one thing i still dont want to mess with because if you mess up, lots of bad, expensive crap can happen haha

Yeah, you have to get the backlash and all that right to the 0.001". Nothing I wanna try to do, but I'd love to watch someone who knows what they are doin so maybe I could...oh hell there is no way I could do it! Lol

well the thing is that if you don't set up the backlash right and you see the marks you can fix it before you install it? so wouldn't you just have to make sure everything is correctly spaced so you wouldn't have to worry about it breaking as long as you set everything up right?

yeaaaa as long as its all setup right...
if you want to do it on your own, i would suggest atleast making a friend who knows what they are doing to help you out and make sure its correct

I had my 4.56's gears installed for 530 something at 4WheelParts. Price included gears, bearing kit, oil, etc and that was just for the rear end too.

I just installed 5.13's in my ranger I used to work at Drivetrain Warehouse and I wouldn't attempt it if you haven't ever atleast helped someone or have the right tools. Dial Indicator, Case Spreader, 300 foot pound torque wrench, etc... I got my gears from the Bronco graveyard cheapest I found, Yukon rear, Precision Gear front.
