Calibrating speedo in 95 ranger

I just picked up a 95 ranger XL 2wd with 88k. Unfortunatly it has 3.45 gears. I have been thinking about regearing to 4.10s. The actuall regearing is not a problem as I have setup several 8.8s over the years in my mustang. My question is recalibrating the speedo. From my research I am having a hard time finding out what I need to do to get my speedo reading correctly. On my 95 can I get by by just swapping a speedo driven gear or do I need to add some sort of electronic speedcal to my budget.

Thanks.

95~97 Rangers use an interchangeable gear at the VSS Signal Generator for speedometer correction. If you can find a gear that is compatible with your combination of tire diameter and axle ratio, you won't need an electronic converter.

Thanks, that is good to hear. I can handle swapping out speedo gears. I just did not want to figure in the cost of some sort of electronic calibration tool. That would cost more then the gears itself. Now I need to talk the old Lady into a new set of gears for me as a gift for our 9th anniversary.
