If you need pics of more specific areas I can take some this weekend since I have a diff sitting on the floor of my garage.

that just might do it, if i see correctly the cap bolts are just outside of the bolt holes above and below, to mount the cover? I am welding a baffle inside my cover and don't want clearance issues when I go to put it on.

self clearance baby.. works 60% of the time, EVERY time

but if you have the diff dropped, and your welding, why cant you just adjust accordingly to the diff thats laying in front of you instead of going off a pic?

well as of now I'm assembling the new cover so it's just a remove and reinstall quick job, but I may just have to do it that way

All is well. I finally got this baby installed. The stock breather is caped off and the new breather in working great. 60 buck in parts and fluid and a few hours and shes done. F$#K ford for their $430 kit to fix, what a waste. I didn't even have to take the diff out! Remove the 3 bolts that mount it, remove the drive shaft from it and hola pleanty of room to remove and replce that cover.
