I use a scan gauge to monitor my tranny temp. I got mine from Wayne @ http://www.stuffforyourranger.com/st...roducts_id=212

The scan gauge is neat, but I agree with omega. How can it monitor the tranny? I don't believe there is a tranny temp sensor on the tranny now, but then I realy don't know. If it will work I might go that rought. How did you mount the screen?
Roach, I realy like what you have done. I have a similar set up in my supper duty and like it. Where did you get the A-pillar pod, gauges and such?
Thanks all
Peter

that makes sense. But im guessing you can't calibrate your speedo with a scangauge can u? If u can im getting otherwise, if I bought that every single number would be way off correct?

I have a trans temp gauge too. It's electrical, there is a perfect spot for it on the left side of the transmission. there is a bolt that does nothing...you unscrew that and screw in the sender...vioala...you have a trans temp reading!
IMO, oil pressure and trans temp are the two most important specs on the truck. If you heat the transmission too much, it will be a paperweight. and if you run the motor with too little oil pressure...goodnight!!!

+1 I couldn't stand the factory gauges in my car, while I don't have a trans temp. I do have a killer cooler setup with one big fin cooler, a smaller plate type cooler with an electric fan on it, also a +2 quart pan. Not quite feeling the necessity for the oil psi in my Ranger just yet, I may go that route one day.
Autometer, speedo, tach, volt, temp, oil psi, fuel level, and a fuel psi on the windsheild base.

I actually did a little cutting and made mine fit under my aftermarket CD player. It fit perfectly!

The lower left guage is the transmission fluid reading.
