Clutch slave cylinder mode to outside like normal trucks

Hi,
Has anybody modified to have the troublesome
inside clutch slave cylinder taken out for an outside
one like normal trucks?

90 4x4 ranger 2.9 will be converted to manual locking hubs

sounds like a lot of work i have only ever put on in my truck and i have had it for almost 3 years. i put one in when i first bought it because it needed a clutch and it was leaking then.
