crazy clutch problems

the cold weather may have something to do with this... but yesterday morning on the way to work the clutch went out but the pettle didnt stay stuck to the floor and their was no fluid leaking out any where even looked in the bellhouseing and its dry as a bone... filled the res back up with fluid and i have clutch again. its got air in it but its working for the mean time... ive drove it around all day today and the fluid level has stayed the same and clutch has worked fine... what would cause this and has any one ever had theirs do this before?? ive got a new slave and master siting here im wondering if i should replace the master and see what that does are leave it be sense its working again??

Brandon, brake fluid is hydroscopic so it absorbs water, it may have froze and puked out, check in the bellows of the slave for fluid and check for fluid on the carpet from the master
