Diff Fluid in 96

Hey guys I was planning on changing the diff oil soon on my 1996 Ranger and was wondering how often you should do so. I believe it was changed at 40,000 miles and now has 70,000 on it. Also, does anyone know where the drain and fill plugs are at on it? I did some searching but I could only find info on newer 2000+ trucks. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I dont think there is a drain plug I think you just gotta pop the cover off and the fill plug it on the front of the diff I think. Not sure about 96.
