Spindles are what what the upper & lower control arms connect to. Used a lot in lifts for 4x2's...
www.4wheelparts.com for 4.10 gears, but you need to check your rear end to see what gears you have anyway & that's even if you have a 8.8, you may have a 7.5.
There's a tag on the rear differential cover & it'll say a bunch of #'s & in one of those, it'll say the gears.

look on your door at the sticker in the door jamb. Look under "SPR" a #97 is a 4.10 open rearend 8.8 (which I have). There is a chart of this on the tech section of www.therangerstation.com
Lift spindles are for 2wd only, the position of the stud on the spindle is 3.5" lower then stock, so it raises the truck up that much.

I think you have a lot of research to do before you jump into lifting your Ranger. I mean no disrepect, but if you don't know what you have or what you need it would be easy to do something wrong or forget something important, and that could prove costly or dangerous.
All the information is here on the boards and also on TRS boards and stuff, so when you come across something you dont know it is just as easy to search for it as it is to post a new topic. The benefits to searching instead of starting a new thread with a repeat question are that some of the senior members get tired of answering the same question over and over and just avoid the thread and then you lose out on some good knowledge. I'm just offering it as advice, most people here are nice enough to answer anyway, but some will throw **** at you for it. it's pretty safe to say that there are no new questions someone has been on here and asked if before you so take advantage of that!
