Needing Some Help.
Ok, so as most of you know I have had a SAS done to my truck. However, I'm not 4x4...yet.
What do I need tranny wise/t-case to get my truck closer to being 4wd? Any suggestions? I know for the t-case I'm going to use a manual one, but which one I'm not sure of yet...discuss

The BW 1350 and BW 1354 transfer cases should bolt up to late model Ranger 4x4 transmissions. Either is available in manual and automatic versions.
The 1354 is the newer and stronger T/C and it would be my choice behind a 4.0L.
Easiest transmission to use would be another 5R55E transmission like you have now. You can either buy a 4x4 transmission or your 2WD tranny can be converted. I believe that a complete disassembly is required to change the output shaft and extension housing to make it into a 4x4 box.

If you think that your current transmission is in good shape, maybe it would be OK to have it professionally converted by a reputable shop.
On the other hand, you could try to locate a 5R55E 4x4 transmission and bolt it in. One that is already rebuilt would be very expensive but buying a used junkyard automatic is always risky. If you get a bad electronically controlled unit like the 5R55E, it can literally cost thousands to have it repaired.
