35's w/ 5.13's?

I MIGHT be trading my 41's for some 35" Toyo Open Country A/T's. Does anyone have any good reviews from these tires?

How would my truck 'run' w. 35" tires & 5.13's?

toyo open country A/T are good. I didn't have 35's but even with my 235/75/15 they still did amazingly great in everything. I don't know what kind of 41's you have but you know your going from 41's to 35's so they better be almost brand new.

As for the 5.13's with 35's your going to run higher RPMS (you knew that) , from what the chart says ( http://www.therangerstation.com/tech...tirechart.html ) you'll be turning a little over 3,000 at 64 with a 1:1 ratio transmission. Not to bad. I say go for it and just deal with it. Rather have more power and have to go slower than not be able to go at all with lower gears.

4.88s would be better but 5.13s you will be turning some rpms, dont expect to go much over 85

I would like a better riding tire, and I don't do that much interstate driving. The fastest I normally go is no more than 75.

get some 37" bfg mt's or goodyear mtr's, maybe even some bfg at's.
i think 35's would look tiny on your truck, plus the gears would be better with the bigger tire.

my moms b/f has the toyo open country at's and they look like plain street tires unless you look at the tread, its not a very aggressive tire at all.

I don't really care what it looks like, because I've got 36's to wheel with. I'll be able to keep the 20's as well. And I want to lower the truck just a tad bit to compensate for the smaller tires. I can't even take a turn now w/out the bed rubbing.

I wouldn't mind some extra power. I can burn the 41's down w. no problem, I wouldn't mind being able to roast some 35's from a dead stand still.

my ranger has 5.13's and 37's with the 3.o and has decent power, i'd imagine 4.o and auto would be much better!

dude, take the tires. you want something better on the street and those are it. lower the trun for the tires and just offroad with the 36" tires you have. I say do it, I've had the tires and they are great onroad.

Oh man, just keep the 41's man!!!! If you want a nice(r) driving truck, drive to fl and I'll trade you...mine just needs to have the pinion corrected (too much compensation right now) and it will ride like a caddilac (not).

I say it looks hot w/ 41's so deal w/ the crappy ridE!!!!!

edit: btw, the 35's and 5.13's wiilll striaght up rip. You probably will have a hard time doing 75 though, but if thats all you go, I wouldn't mind. Seriuosly, lift it more if it rubs!!! Your a southern boy!

Brenton, I just switched from 5.13's to 4.88's with 35's. 5.13's were nice, especially with the gutless 3.0, but I couldn't go much more than 75 mph and that was at over 3,500 rpm which is too much. I like the 4.88's much better. They are ideal with a 35-36" tire. That being said you'll be OK with 5.13's so long as you don't need to go fast.

Well as long as these tires are in decent condition I'll be trading my 41's for a set of those 35's along w. a brand new set of 33" LTB's.
