Ok so removing the fluid looks pretty strait foward. I looked up instructions here https://www.ranger-forums.com/forum2...read.php?t=397 and here for the tcase https://www.ranger-forums.com/forum2...read.php?t=396
What I dont get is where do you fill the transmission fluid? I feel like a dumb *** but I want to make sure I can do this before draining everything and not knowing how to fill up after.. lol
also im guessing I only need a wratchet to get the pan off and thats it, no special tools..

Recent Rangers are:
AT: Mercon V ATF
MT: Mercon ATF
Transfer case: Mercon ATF
Earlier models:
AT: Mercon ATF
MT: Mercon ATF
Transfer case: Mercon ATF
I don't know what a 92 takes for sure. Years ago, the manual transmissions specified gear oil instead of ATF. If you don't have a 92 owners manual, it would be good to get one from somewhere like eBay.

I didnt do it myself, I brought it in to have it drained as when you unbolt the pan it doesnt take everything out and I wasnt quite sure how to do it.. but basically they tapped in my trans coolant line and I ran the engine to pump it out.. or something like that. The transfer case was easy, I did that one and my rear differential myself. Now the front differential im gonna take it in to the shop as well cause they have to pump it out.
