explorer/ranger front end compatable (HELP)

Ok. I have a 99 Ranger 4.0 4x4. I want to replace my current hubs with the AVM manual hubs. I have the pvh now and am tired of the random operation. That parts easy. Now my front left wheel bearing assembly and cv shaft are shot. I have a 99 explorer sport 4.0 4x4 sitting at my dads house. My question is... are the front wheel bearing assemblies and/or cv shafts the same on the 2 trucks? I know the explorer has a live axle and I prefer not to go that route. So will the pieces work with my truck and if so would I still be able to use the AVM setup? Im guessing I cannot use them unless i swap everything making the front end live. I know the AVM kit only works with the pvh setup so there has to be something different. Anyone know for sure?
