Icon5 Replacing ball joints, bearings, and seals

Well the 93 ranger is all torn apart again after I just finished my lift and noticed that the Bj, wheel bearings were shot. So yesterday I tore it apart and noticed that a seal behind the hub was pretty dang shot and was wondering if any of you might know what the seal is called?

Thanks in advance happy Memorial Day!

Also have another question. On a 93 4x4 are the ball joints (upper&lower) supposed to be pressed or threaded?

I don't know about the '93 ball joints, but my '98 lowers were pressed in, the uppers I don't know for sure yet. The seal on the hub is just called a gease seal. Any auto supply store should have them.

My '96 had the uppers and lowers pressed in...although mine is a 2wd...not sure if that matters either....a good parts store should be able to tell you for sure.

Good luck!

I know that with the 99's and 2000's for the upper ball-joints you have to replace the entire upper control arm. not sure about any years before that.
