front diff

I looked thru the search engine without any luck, can the diff cover on the front be removed on an 01 ranger 4.0? Or do I need to pump it out.

You can't remove the cover when the axle is installed on the truck. The shop manual procedure is to use a hand pump through the fill hole.

yup gotta pump it, i made the mistake or trining to take it off, ouch the next day i had to drop the whole front to fix it. Good luck

I tell ya I miss my tacoma, everything on it way way eaisier to deal with. I cannot believe you have to hand pump it out what a pain. guess Ill get dirty in the morning, lol
