You can control most of that through a programmer.......

Yes there sure is. You have a 5R55E transmission. There are a few different types of shift kits to do different things. A programmer will also up line pressure to allow for firmer quicker shifts.

I ran a fully built valve body, two different shift kits, and the programmer. I really liked the shifting. it was great. I am sure with stock tires it would be a little harsh but it was still fun.

if you are serious about getting the right stuff for your transmission send a PM to NicksterSVT, he was selling kits for the 5R55E which is what I ran. He has instructions for it too.

if you have trouble getting an answer from him let me know. But he knows his stuff. He will also install it for you if you are willing to drive.

thanks for the comment on the truck.

ha! oh yeah he is. He is building my 5.4L DOHC V8 for my Ranger.(the one in my avatar to the left) He has also painted my truck, built exhaust, transmission work etc... Regeared my F150 too. Id trust him on whatever he said but we are also good friends.

He built a turbo 2004 Ranger for a guy from MO i think thats where he was from. anyway he knows his way around cars and Fords are his specialty.

yeah he does great work and takes pride in his work. cant beat it. if you want a good transmission buy his kit or have him install it.

I ran several configs since I rebuilt my trans with his stuff, like with 35s towing 4-5k pounds, running 37s wheeling, then 37s supercharged running it so hard until it would barely run to get it on the trailer, then with 42s and supercharged. oh btw I sold the transmission to rngrprerunner (Jason) who have a long travel ranger in California and he has had it racing, running 400 mile trails, etc. It has way over 100k miles on it and its been great so far.
