What gears do I have?
I have an 03 XLT but the guy before me did some stuff to it so i dont know if he did gears or not.... i remember seeing a post somewhere that showed what RPM's and what MPH you were going showed what you can and i cant find it now....At 2500 rpms im going 75mph (or 70 since my 33's throw it off 5 miles an hour...)
What SHOULD i have...do i have a Limited Slip?
I know that when i power brake it and burn out both tires spin....(dont do it that much but just to see if they did....friend with a hemi dodge thinks he has a posi and only 1 wheel spins...)

Thats what ive been told to see what stock is, but if the guy before me did something how do i know he put a new tag on it?
it came with a 3inch BL, torsion bars cranked, a 3inch block in the rear (which i removed) holes in the tail lights from tail light covers and headlight covers

none of that makes sence minus the 88 part. if you are having trouble reading it take sand paper to it, it will reveal the writing really easy. OR open your door and get the axle code
the 88 = 8.8
the 2k17 means it was built on October 17 2002
other then that the other #'s oyu must have seems wrong or missed something. i am going out on a limb you have 10 there is there a 4L10 on the tag like this

one i edited that post up there go take a look.
bythe looks of the tag your missing some info i can see now, its a 4.10 8.8 made in October 17 2002
from that i cant tell if it has L/S but here is a VERY QUICK way of knowing go outside and jack up the rear end on the pig, from there make sure the parking brake is off and its in Neutral. then spin ONE rear tire look at the other if there BOTH spinning in the SAME direction you have L/S, IF there BOTH spinning in OPISITE directions then you dont

Im very much mechanically inclined, but trannys and gears i dont mess with tryign to rebuild / talk about

This link to Currie enterprizes may help. They have some calculators that can take your RPM tire size etc. I think its the one on the bottom of the page.
