Front Diff question

so my pinion seal has been leakin for a lil on my front diff, its getting to the point now where i need to actually replace it. .(wasnt really leaking before now its leavin spots) i dont know to much about the front diffs other then they are a royal pita to change fluid, so to change the seal. . is it as simple as droping the front driveshaft and pulling the seal out or do i need to disassemble the whole front diff? side note also. . .whats the easiest way to change the fluid for the front diff. . .this will be the first time ill be changing the fluids since the warranty ran out. if you have aim. . .just im me chevyslayer925. . .ill be out for a lil tonite but im always on

Pinion seal is ususally the culprit of the front diff leak. Drive shaft off, buzz off the pinion nut(held on really really tight, i don't have enough air to get it off), pull the yoke, pulle the seal, repace.

Easiest way to change fluid? Get a hand pump or some sort and stick it in the fill hole, and suck all the old gunk out. Then pump new gunk in.

If the diff cover is where the leak is coming from, i'd go ahead and drop the axle out of the truck, and pull the cover, drain fluid, clean, silocone, cover back on, let dry, then fill, replace axle.
