Front Differential Leak

After passing my state inspection (thank god), I was told I have a front differential leak. I noticed I had a leak down there before, and been meaning to take a closer look at it. Now that all my other issues have been taken care of(as far as the state is concerned with) I want to try and tackle this problem. I have a decent amount of greasy fluid on passenger side of the front axle which I am assuming is from the differential leak.

I have been looking through Google.
I am looking for any advice on recommended readings for dealing differential leaks, and diagnosing the exact problem.
Any pointers for common issues with differential leaks, and common solutions.

** edit**
Can a moderator move this to the drivetrain board. I forgot we had a section for that and figured it was close enough to suspension.

It could be the pinion seal. if its that you need to replace it.

It could be the axle seals, pinion seal, or front cover. You will need to find out which seal is leaking first. The pinion seal and axle seals are easy to replace. If its the front cover it will be a lot more work. You'll have to remove the axle to get the front cover off.
