noise coming from rear diff
Yeah this cant be good, i replaced my rear pinnion bearing and seal.... Now something when i put it into gear it makes a fairly loud clank, also when i start going from a stop it makes a fast ticking sound then it subsides. Any suggestions where to start? Thanks

i still think you need to find out EXACTLY were the noise is coming from.....you said in your first post that it was when you put it in gear, that sounds like a tranny, not a rear end.....a rear end will only make noise when it is in motion...

did you do the repair or did a shop do it?
did you use a new crush washer when replacing the pinion bearing, was a new race used, was the flange torqued to the correct specs, i believe its 250ftlbs then there has to be a turning torque spec also.
probly ought to start looking for a new axle.
