Auto Tranny

So me and my dumb self have been pretty tuff on my tranny lately going through some mud wholes with the pedal to the medal and iv been wprried about the tranny lately. When it shifts to be a little rougher between the shifts. This could all be mental because every time i go off-roading on the way if i feal anything at all i over exagerate and freak out thats something is broken. So im wondering if all you guys with autos have the same sorta studder between shifts and if flouring it in mudd is really that bad for a tranny.

Thanks, noob.

mine started to have slightly rougher shifts and seemed to slip more than usuall. i took it in and had it flushed and everything and now it feels as fresh as the day i got it. may try that and see if it helps. oh and if you start getting in deep you may want to think about re-routing the breather hose to a higher location.

Mine gets abused regularly but is fine. Two mods you need:

1. Full synthetic fluid like Amsoil (what I use) or Royal Purple. Have a flush-fill done. Expensive but worth it. Takes like 11 quarts so it's not cheap.

2. Extend the vent tube so the gunk around your tranny when you do mud and water doesn't go into the tranny. Info on my website, aways down the first page.

Mine started getting a little rougher. Now that it is cold the tourqe converter seems to slip more when cold. I think I am do for a flush as well.

If did wonders for my dodge Shifter like new.

#2 was a $2400 mistake for me. I blew my transmission.

I didn't even worry about it, I thought it was something very minor.

**** that! My tranny went out from mudding, well only the drive and 1st gear went out. Then tonight, about 3 months after it started to go bad, the rest of it went out. It still moves. But when i hit my brakes, it sounds like it's CNCing me a new wheel. ******* SUCKS!
