gota few ?

hey guys its been a while since i posted but i have a friend who works at a jy and he told me i can get some parts from some of the explorers so i wanted to know since m cv's are blown if i could pull the hub assembly and cv's out of a 01 explorer and put them into my 2000 ranger.

Yes. If your truck has automatic hubs, you will NEED both the cv joints AND the hub/bearing assemblies.
If your truck has live axles already, you just need the CV joints/shafts.

However there is probably a fair chance that you'll get bad hub/bearing units or something. Reman CVs are fairly cheap too.

i bought a brandnew cv axle for $70 at autozone about a month ago

better yet from Autozone or Advance they have lifetime warranties.. I cashed in on that oh, idk, 7-9 times

I don't like reman cvs myself, but they are better than junkyard parts.

Its kinda hard to find new ones at part stores it seems like.. But atleast their not hard to change on a Ranger if you happen to get a bad reman one.

okay thanks none of the parts stores around me carry them and i need new hubs any way so im just gonna pull the cv's and bearings but im gonna look for one with low miles and if i get a bad one ill just replace when it goes cuz i have to replace the front pass. side before i can even drive the truck.
