gotta get a new tranny but right now...

Well my tranny with 98 k on it is on its way out. 2001 ranger edge 4x4. For now it gets me to where i gotta go. My problem is when i start it cold i gotta let it warm up or it runs really sluggish. Is that the tranny or something else? Also when i come to a stop it sounds like it wants to stal out (somewhat along the lines of bogging down) i was thinking possibly the alternator? Let me know thanks alot!

does not sounds like a tranny issue.

maybe you should look into some sensors? change the plugs and wires, fuel filter, etc...

Yep I would check with the fuel filter or tune up options first. Your almost at the 100 mark and if you haven't done any of these you should.

Mine's doing the same thing. It's a 99, but has 40K more miles. I changed plugs, wires, fuel filter, air filter, and seafoamed not too long ago and it's still wanting to stall out sometimes at a stop. The other wierd thing is the check gage light will come on at stops, but all my gages are fine. If you find out what's going on with yours let me know.
