i got a 3.0 5 speed ranger and once u hit around 65 to 75 in over drive the pedal goes soft like theres no spring in there. then once u slow down u can feel it pop back up on ur foot. is that like a thing to tell u ur pushing to hard

 

I would check the throttle cable make sure it's not frayed, hanging up, springs broken... Just give it a good visual inspection. Also check the throttle body plate and the gaspedal.
