so i got my new powerslot rotors and posiquiet pads in today took it to my cousins installed everything decided to bleed the system driver side was good but the passenger side came out a little cloudy then slapped the wheels took it for a test drive and drove home when i got home decided to look at the rotor and on the passenger side there is brake fluid covering the caliper **** my life looks like its coming from the bleeder ill go out in the morning (before work)and rebleed it and clean it up ****.................
what are my chances my brand new pads are trashed?
could it be a bad bleeder valve or did my cousin leave it loose?
i did the pumping my cousin did the bleeding he's getting a ear full if the bleeder is loose

fix it NOW! brake fluid is hygroscopic (which means it pulls moisture out of the air, and can pull it in through that bleeder) if you get moisture in there, your fluid can boil, which then causes an air pocket and no brakes! if you leave it for more than a little bit, i would bleed your ENTIRE system...
90% chance bleeder is just loose...

i was wrong on both parts bleeder was tight and is still good the problem was is he made a mess and didnt say anything on the course of driving home 40 miles it got slung everywhere i pulled the caliper cleaned it off and checked the pads its all good its my fault no matter who you are working with you should always double check stuff

Ewww.. brake fluid is nasty stuff to sling around everywhere - I would take a healthy dose of Simple Green or Purple Power to all that undercarriage.. let it soak, then blast that stuff off with water .. dont want any hitting your paint or it will eat through it quick like!

went down today and got new springs for the rear drum brakes cleaned everything up,greased the backing plates, installed the new hardware and adjusted them up drove around town for about 45 minutes everything works perfect now just in time to head to the beach in the morning
the only thing i didnt install was the c-clips for the parking brakes ive looked at pics on here and in my haynes manual i guess ford got away form them on the newer trucks mine have a flat notch on the shoes that the parking brake locks into
