hey guys i was thinking about switching the front cv to the newer ones that are set up with the live axles. and i was wondering if all i would need is 2 knuckles out of a newer ranger , the wheel bearings and cv axles. or if more is actually needed. any thoughts let me know

 

check out this link. it tells you how to lock your vacuum hubs perminatly thus making turning it into a live axle.

If you want to switch all of it let, me know...I have knuckles, Unit bearings, and CVs from my 01 wreck I may be interested in letting go.

 

well the whole reason i was considering this was i blew my 2 cv's and no jy around here has them all the got is the newer cv axles. they told me i could get the whole front suspension both knuckles the diff, and the cv's for 150.

 

You need the CV shafts, and hub/bearing unit, that is it. If they bearings are in the knuckles it just makes it easier for you I guess.
Make sure the bearings are ABS if you have front wheel ABS.
