so I had the clutch replaced and as I was driving it home it still fights me to get into gear in first and second, and when its in 3rd and 4th I can shake the stick back and fourth.

its worse in 1st and 2nd

the guy who did the clutch said he thought it was the syncronizor, i talked to a trans guy he said it could be something internal or external, and my mechanic friend who knows his way around fords said it could just be the fluid

same problem with the clutch i am having. i bought a cheap aftermarket clutch and the friction meterial is too thick to allow the clutch to release all the way

as for the shifter moving side to side, there are 3 torx bolts on top of the shifter tower after you remove the shifter and there are nylon bushings in there that need to be replaced. redneckstone has a write up on it from when we did it to his truck

So did you ever make that how-to like you talked about? What happen to the link for the kit? I need to get one. If I get it, I guess I could make a how to.

yeah but I don't think that the clutch would fight me a different way through each gear.

its worse in 1sr and second...almost like trying to shift and it goes half way in then it needs to be muscled into the rest of the way, then third and fourth feels like there's a straight up wall keeping me from getting into gear and there's no fighting it until i double clutch.

my master mechanic friend said to replace the fluid and add graphite and if that doesnt help then I'm royally ****ed

I changed the fluid with dex III/M and added graphite, and its still acting the same way, sometimes it goes in with muscle sometimes it takes teasing to get in...

I don't know where to go from here

if I take my bare input and output shaft to a transmission shop would they change the synchronizers for cheaper than taking the entire car down there?
