the reason i am asking is for shipping purposes......anything up to 150# i can ship via UPS Ground.....i am going to slap some cardboard around it and put the label on it......the torque converter will be off the tranny, so all the fluid will be out of it....

is the manual tranny something that 1 person can "bench press" in place without a t-case on it? that way 1 other person can add bolts?

Maurice, last time I had my manual out, I used a floor jack to get it up and down. That worked well for me...

yea but my truck is 3' off the ground.....i was thinking about getting a tranny jack from Harbor Freight...but they only go up to 24"....i would still have to lift it on up....the taller ones don't go down enough, and i dont wanna pay $300 for one....

The Ranger manual transmission only weighs about 90 pounds. The t-case is about 60.

did you remove your crossmember to get it out? does the body lift allow the tranny to come out without removing the crossmember? i don't mind having to remove it if i have too....

remove the crossmember.

nice thing about the BL is you can use a bunch of extensions and an impact to remove all the bolts from the bell housing while sitting down by the Tcase.

I just weighed my other one. 116 lbs with tcase adapter and no torque converter.

Just take the tires off.

Better yet get a second person and it comes out real easy. I found it easier higher off the ground. Just sit under the truck and get it done instead of laying down.

I did the same with out the BL. Just a tight fit. However installation was a PITA. I ended up not using the vent line and zip tieing the o2 harness to the dipstick tube. I was on a time crunch at the time.
