my transmission is grinding

well SH*&, i started my truck like i always do and let it run to warm up. Been a ritual of mine... It got good and warm and everything was fine. I backed out of the driveway, and it was golden. Went to put it in drive, it starts grinding. I was like wtf... i check the trans fluid and it seems to be okay to me. im at school rite now, so i am limited on what i can do for it. I just want to know if I am going to Grenade her when i leave today. Its a 2001 4.0 auto with 153,201. Any suggestions will be welcomed....
