8.8" 28Spline Diff Cover Gasket?

I called the dealership yesterday and they couldn't find it and I called around to the local autoparts stores and they didn't have it, so I'm wondering if it actually exists... haha.

Does anyone happen to know the Part Number for it?

Thanks!

just use some blue RTV, no need for a gasket.

Yes, gaskets are available in the aftermarket only, the factory method is RTV.

Well, the problem is the RTV method is leaving leaks, maybe I'll try finding one on Summit tonight... Thanks Guys.

UPDATE:

I ordered one from 4wd.com although their server was down, so I ordered it by phone. They told me it would ship Monday. Cost came to $21.98 or something like that. I know, $$$ but it's reusable, so I don't have to buy another one, unless I grenade the diff, which probably isn't going to happen.

Icon3 Not RTV

PN# TA-31 dark grey silicone is what Ford recommends and that's what I used last weekend when I installed the 98 Explorer 8.8 w/discs into my 94 Ranger and NO LEAKS!

I'm still looking for one of those diff covers, argh.

I hope to get one soon so I can change out the differential fluid, as it has never been changed in 67,000 miles.
