Checking unit bearings (hubs)
Granted I have a D30 and its different than a ranger the unit bearing setup is very similar to the 01+ IFS ranger.
With my tires being so loud and sometimes shaking the truck how would i be able to hear the hum from a hub going bad?
Basically I wanting to know how I can check them to make sure they are good?
I jack the truck up and pull and push the wheel everything is tight! Not sure if that is a valid way to check them though.
The axle had about 80k miles on it when I got it and now probably 100k miles. I have yet to replace the hubs. I am going on a trip in a few weeks, about 1000 miles each way, I want to know if there is another way to check them.
