that, and usually its over your head, lifting that sucks.

 

Manual or auto? Manuals can't weigh more than 170.... I lifted mine myself and put it in myself on my back... And Im not that strong

 

Absolutely no way that trans weighs 5-600 pounds.....I can lift the auto and manual and load it into a bed, have done it a few times and have one of each in my Junker bed.

I've done 3 clutches by myself (did use the lift ot put it into place, but was easy to muscle around)....I'd guess about 250lbs, give or take 100lbs.....

 

my father, some random guy, and me, lifted my old 3.0 auto trans into the bed of a f150 no problem.. couldnt have been more than 300.

 

You can do a manual w/ your arms, no problems. Wouldnt recommend that w/ an auto, atleast not without a helper
