stupid transmission

recently my tranny has been actin up, its been super hard to get in and out of gear, i mean ya got use two hands and really push, well this mornin i put the clutch in and went to shift from 1st to reverse, and all i heard was the gear grindin then a bad clunk and it dropped into reverse. does the clutch need adjusting? or does the tranny need to get flushed and refilled. itll grind also if i downshift into 1st at like 6mph itll grand like a siv. thanks any help is appreciated.

Sounds like clutch needs adjusting, that and you could probably due a fluid flush that certainly wouldn't help but if your clutch its FUBAR right now flushing wont help.

I had that same sounding problem with my 96 geo.I adjusted the clutch and it seemed to help for a few weeks but then the clutch went completely.

A few months ago i had the same problem except i would have to turn the truck completly off to put it into reverse. I took it in to a local shop and they said the whole tranny was bad.
