Is it possible to change a 2wd trans. to a 4wd trans. easily?

 

Yes, u need a transfer case behind it, as well as a different driveshaft

 

Easily is opinion.

You will need a 4x4 mainshaft and a 4x4 trans tailhousing. Transmission does need completely taken apart to swap the mainshaft. But other than that, it is pretty straight forward. Does require some special tools and skills to accomplish it, but manuals are pretty straight forward.
