Should be a wire that is Red with light blue stripe, it runs from starter motor to NSS connector.
And another Red with light blue stripe wire that comes from ignition switch(12v when key is in START position) on the NSS connector.
Connect these two wires together.

Backup lights should be the Black with pink stripe wire, and 12v key on is Pink with orange stripe

if you swapped the harness did you also swap the PCM? there are two points of contact fro the NSS in the auto harness (if you have the pigtail under the dash some trucks dont) then it will have a blank plate that grounds it out and then the trans range sensor has a sensor built in that registers park/neutral and closes the circuit. So if you replaced the trans harness and it still won't start then you have eliminated a circuit that the PCM is looking for.

Under the steering column is the ignition switch
Look for the Red/light blue wire on that switch
That wire should have 12v when key is turned to START.

Splice that wire to the starter motor's Red/Light blue
