had to take my t-case out..

I'm going to assume you have a 1350 or 1354 for your 2nd case.. I can't help you out too much there because my unit is a stubler (shorty doubler) and it's setup with a simple rod action: (pull) up and you're in HI, (push) down and you're in LO.

Correct on the gear reduction unit, as is any transfer case with 4LO. This is basically a 2nd t-case, only without the output shaft part. Mine has the same gear set as a stock 1354 does (2.48:1). So after the two are mated, my double LO will be 6.15:1.

And in case anyone notices, I cutoff the stock shift linkage on the case to modify it to clear the main/thick plate between the two cases..

I'll get a pic of that up soon. I just didn't have it all buttoned up when I snapped the pic of the linkage. But it's reeaalllyy simple, yet sweet! :)
Yeah I can't wait to try it. Though I've been making leaps and bounds with each project, as with any work involving several different projects on a rig, there's quite a few 'little' things left before I get to that point.
Thanks for the compliment! I generally take abit longer than is required, but that's just because I like to have a really clean, well-thought through design and have the work show it.

Great job on the linkage. The only problem that I found with the doubler set up is that intermediate shaft (the one you picked up off of pirate along w/ the unit) tends to fail. But, there was a guy on Pirate that was apperantly casting and not welding the two splines together. Did you by chance get one of those? BTW, nice job all together and great lookin rig.

The one I bought from the guy on Pirate was made by 4-x-fab.com and the intermediate shaft is one piece, machine, splined, annealed and heat treated.
