LS additive, yea or nay?

Just got done with my gear break in, L/S was installed at the same time. Im going to swap the fluid. I bought some 75/90 Valvoline syn-power to replace it with. The bottle states it can be used for L/S applications. Would you use any additional L/S additive with the Syn-Power? or use the gear oil by itself? Ive heard too much additive will cause the L/S to perform less efficiently but quiet it down and that it will perform better without the additive but cause excessive wear. Opinions welcome.

thanks

If the bottle states no additive necessary then I would just run the fluid and not worry about it.

I got the cheap stuff as it doesn't have additive on it (which if your bottle says no additive nessacry it means it has it in there) and I added half of what your suppose to so it locks up easier.

The friction modifier is only there to help reduce customer complaints about chattering while turning with the LS diff. You don't need to use it if you don't want to.
