4X4 Clunk?

ok i have not had 4X4 for a wile and now i got a lift and tires its killing me, i have always thought that my ring and pinion need to be replaced in the front cuz every time i put the thing in 4X4 its goes about a foot and CLUNK another foot and CLUNK so i NEVER use 4X4. now when lifting the truck a few weeks ago i noticed the insides of a locking hub were kinda mangled lol and the other side was not could this be the problem? or is it ring and pinion... eather way i need to re-gear so its not a big deal

Yeah if something is mangled i'd say that's probably what is clunking...

if one side is mangled and the otherside is not, I would geuss that the side that is mangled is not supposed to be mangled.
