I would almost recommend an explorer 31 spline axle, then run an aussie locker. Same type of device but it's cheaper since it is factory direct. Plus you end up with a stronger rear axle and disc brakes.
I had aussie lockers front and rear of my sport trac and loved them. However they are not as smooth with a manual transmission. Since they lock when torque is applied and unlock when coasting, it can unlock/lock between gear shifts which feels a little odd during cornering. I know several people who run them on daily drivers with manual transmissions but some people don't like it as much, fwiw. Shane has one and has talked about it here some.
