Post lift axle leak. Thoughts?

I've noticed gear oil has leaked onto the axle, and not all from the same location.

The vent tube: I noticed oil coming from the vent tube at the axle mount, and at the end that vents to the atmosphere. I don't know why the gear oil would be under any pressure to leak like that.

The passenger CV: This may be an easy fix, the guy who did the lift looked at it and thinks the lip seal is letting gear oil out.

Notes: No gear oil was added since very little was lost during the lift process. Fluid level was checked today and it's still full.

Any thoughts?

Where is it leaking from on the axle?

The Vent tube could be anything. First time those gears are turning that quick now with the bigger tires.

Have you ever changed the gear oil?

It's only coming from the vent tubes at both the axle and its open end.

The other is coming from where CV meets the axle housing.

I've never changed gear oil. 135K miles on the truck

Could just be a bit of gear oil getting a little happy. I would clean it up and keep an eye on it. It might be a one time thing.

If it weren't coming from the open end of the vent I'd be thinking the hose was plugged... not too sure on this one!
