1998 3L V6 Fuel Pump Shot?

My old beast has finally took a dive on me!
She is a 1998 3L V6 standard transmission with about 180,000 Km's on her original.
Had her running out yesterday all over town with my young daughter riding shotgun just fine as always. Tried to start her up yesterday evening and she will crank but wont turn over.
Battery is holding a charge at 12.5 (dropping with multiple start attempts now)
Here's what I have checked so far:

Fuel Pump Relay - good has continuity and in fine shape, even took relay cover off to inspect the coil etc
Starter relay - good has continuity same as above.
Power Control Module Relay - Same as above.
Fuel Inertia Switch - button is pushed down completing power to the pump.
Tried the ignition from off to on and wait 3 seconds a couple times then try, won't turn start.
Checked all fuses including number 24 inside the cab. All fuses in cab and distribution box are good.
I had the wife turn the ignition from off to on while I had my ear right up to the gas tank. Can not hear any buzzing, humming or whirring from the pump in the tank!

I did notice a sharp drop in mileage as well in the last few days just before this happened.
The only logical explanation for this in my eyes is the pump is dead. Is there anything else I can check to verify this before I go full retard and order the pump assembly and a new fuel filter while I'm at?
Boy oh boy, this is going to be a cold, dirty, sh***y one out in the open in my driveway....

Any tips guidance or insight into what else it could be before I start preparing for a pump replacement would be appreciated.

Yes, reads like fuel pump has died.
There is a 30 amp fuse for it in the engine fuse box, FP Fuse

Last test would be to add some gasoline or starting fluid(ether in a spray can) directly to the intake and then try starting.
If it starts up and then dies, yes the fuel pump is not working.

It is often easier to lift off the bed to replace a fuel pump.

Ron,

Will try that today. The fuse in the distribution box is good to go.
Going to get a can of starter off the mechanics at work today then try the test.
Will be pulling the bed off for sure. Whole job is going to be done in the driveway exposed to the elements at -10 C this Sunday most likely.

One question on the fuel lines though, do you happen to know what size the lines are that connect to the pump? I'm going to find the disconnect tool so I'm not stuck hard half way through the job or end up snapping something and have a much bigger problem. From researching I believe the send line is 5/16" and the return is 3/8"? Any insight into this would help greatly.

1998 won't have a return line, '98 was the 1st year of Returnless fuel system.
Although some did but the return line was from the fuel filter hookup.

There will be an vacuum hose for the EVAP system, which can look like there is a return line.
1997 and older had 3 hoses at the tank, 1998 and up 2 hoses

The fuel line tool should have 2 sizes, one on each end of the tool, they are not expensive.

Walk through of fuel pump replacement on a '99 seen here: youtube.com/watch?v=FW0lz6z2DJw

Nice!
Good info.
I remember when I swapped the bed from stepside to fleetside seeing the two lines out of the top of the tank. I just assumed (made an *** of....) one was feed and one was return.
Good to know!
So I only need to not crack ONE fuel line when I remove it lol
Will let you all know how it went. Going to be smart and plug the new pump into the power outlet before I stick it in the dirty tank and make sure it's the pump and not a break in a wire. At least then I can return the pump assy and start stressing about where the break is lol
This site is once again a gold mine of info!
