Pinion Seal Question

I just noticed my rear pinion seal is leaking. Will it be alright if I drive it like this for a month or two, because I plan on an axel swap soon. I only drive on average 10 miles a day? So can I get away with this or should I have this replaced now? I can't believe this already is leaking with only 35000 miles.

Pinion seals suck. Check the fluid regularly. If it starts to get fluid slung on alot of stuff underneath the truck, replace it.

I had mine replaced at 15k miles, but my accident around the same time may have contribuited to it.... Like everyone else said, just keep and eye on it, and top it off unless it's leaking really bad.

I have seen them leak as early as 5k ... some seals are just **** from the beggining. ... it wont hurt anything to drive it at first, but after a long period of time it will cause some damage. but since you are swaping an axle in i wouldnt even worry about it.

Thanks, i figured it would be alright if I kept an eye on it for a little while, guess it will motivate me to do the axel swap a little sooner.
