Hi. A buddy of mine has a 8.8 posi carrier 31 spline for sale. Only 25k on it, and hella cheap. A Problem: I'm pretty sure I don't have a 31 spline rear. I'm right by saying I can't run this carrier in my truck, right?? Do I have a 28 or 31???

just going off of your truck info, you've got a 28 spline 8.8 open carrier...but without the axle code on your manufacturing sticker, which is on the door jamb, i can't really tell you....

i can almost guarantee you that you don't have a 31 spline though

 

I had a LS carrier on here for sale, ended up deleting it off here and putting it up on RPS. Not much interest here. I advertised for 70 bucks, includes the bearings you need to install and shims if you need to adjust.

 

you have a 28 spline axle.......only the FX4 Level II's and all Explorer's have the 31 spline axle
