Icon5 Speed sensor plug for a 5-speed manual

Hey guys,

I was just wondering if the speed sensor plug for a 2004 5-speed manual 4X4 transmission will plug into a 2004 4X4 automatic transmission.
I'm pretty sure the answer is no, but I had to ask.

The Wiring Manual shows the manual and automatic OSS connectors to be different.

The sensor plug is part of the engine/trans harness. So, if the correct harness for the transmission is being used, then it will plug in.

Hey Bob,

Thanks for answering my question. I was getting ready to but a in-dash wiring harness for a automatic truck as a temporary harness until I get a custom harness made up.
It's pretty hard to believe that there's not a factory harness anywhere in the US that I need.
I'm pretty sure that the reason I can't find one is because most of the salvage yards don't even sell them ... they just crush them with the cab.
If you can find one for me, I'll pay you top dollar for it.

Thanks again,

Brian

I think that the dash harness is the same automatic or manual - at least it was in my 2003. It is the engine/transmission harness that is different for automatic/manual.
